B 76, 024512 (2007) [4 pages]Stability of longitudinal coupling for Josephson charge qubitsReceived 20 January 2007; revised 6 June 2007; published 19 July 2007 For inductively coupled superconducting quantum bits, we determine the conditions when the coupling commutes with the single-qubit terms. We show that in certain parameter regimes such longitudinal coupling can be stabilized with respect to variations of the circuit parameters.
