We have performed magnetization measurements on La2-xSrxCuO4. A hysteresis in the temperature dependence of low field magnetization is observed well above the superconducting transition temperature. The behavior of the hysteresis resembles fundamental properties of the superconducting state and is discussed in terms of superconducting correlations.
