Phys. Rev. B 64, 224425 (2001) [4 pages]Comparison of two models for spin polarization measurements by Andreev reflectionReceived 13 August 2001; published 21 November 2001 Two different theoretical approaches in the determination of spin polarization by point-contact Andreev reflection are discussed and compared from an experimental perspective. Both models can be used to extract spin polarization from experimental results for a variety of ferromagnetic materials including half-metallic CrO2. The difference in values of polarization as determined by two models is less than 0.02. © 2001 The American Physical Society URL:
