We present an analysis of time-dependent transport through coupled double quantum dots. Analytical formulas are derived for the current-voltage characteristics of the time-dependent photo-assisted tunneling. The resonance features are observable in both the amplitude and the phase shift of an ac current. We also point out the importance of self-consistent calculation in the internal potential for constructing a gauge-invariant quantum transport theory.
