Effects of diffusional anisotropy and substrate inhomogeneity on length-distribution scaling of dimerized chains

The scaling of the island-size distributions for a model in which adatoms aggregate as dimerized chains is examined. In particular, we present the effects of diffusional anisotropy and the presence of inequivalent sites. Our results show that the exponents agree with those for simpler models. We also found that an interesting anomalous result appears for the case of unidimensional diffusion.
