Phys. Rev. B 57, R14064–R14067 (1998)Empirical scaling of the vortex glass line above 1 T for high-Tc superconductors of varying anisotropy
The resistive transition into a glassy vortex state in oxygen-deficient YBa2Cu3O7-δ twinned single crystals of varying anisotropy γ (8.7<~γ<~35) has been studied with an applied magnetic field along the crystallographic c axis. For B≳1T, the glass line is well described by the empirical relation Bg=B0[(1-T/Tc)/(T/Tc)]α, where α≈1 and B0≈1.85Φ0/(γd)2. The successful fit to this relation both below and above an alleged crossover in the solid vortex state has important consequences for the H-T phase diagram of high-temperature superconductors. © 1998 The American Physical Society URL:
