B 52, 4772–4774 (1995)Freezing and melting of mercury in porous glassReceived 11 January 1995; published in the issue dated 15 August 1995 The results of neutron diffraction and calorimetric measurements of the freezing-melting phase transition of metallic mercury in porous glass are reported. Broadening of both transitions and extremely large temperature hysteresis between them are observed.
