A system of nonlinear differential equations involved in the kinetics of charge carriers is solved numerically for several values of parameters of the traps and for a few sets of values of initial conditions. It has been found, as expected from previous theoretical predictions, that for certain initial conditions the number of photoconducting electrons is increased even in the decay process. A close examination of the phase diagram confirms the above approach. Numerical studies show that, by just reducing the recombination time constant and maintaining the same value for other parameters, the response time of the photocurrent increases substantially.
