A simple scaling model, applied to the observation by Chang and Tsui that dρxy/dn and ρxx are nearly identical in GaAs-AlxGa1-xAs heterostructures, suggests that in the interplateau regions scattering is long range and the carrier concentration does not vary with magnetic field. © 1988 The American Physical Society URL:
