B 35, 3640–3642 (1987)Use of scaling plots in phase-transition studiesReceived 21 October 1986; published in the issue dated 1 March 1987 It is demonstrated that for the phase transition of amorphous ferromagnets the exponent values obtained from optimum data collapsing in a scaling plot depend sensitively on the temperature range used for the fit.
