Phys. Rev. B 22, 3465–3470 (1980)Number theory and critical exponentsReceived 14 January 1980; published in the issue dated 1 October 1980 The consequences of assuming p-adic analyticity for thermodynamic functions are discussed. Rules are given for determining the denominator of a rational critical exponent from the asymptotic behavior of the coefficients of series expansions. The example of the Hamiltonian Q-state Potts model is used to demonstrate the ideas of the paper. © 1980 The American Physical Society URL:
